Sketchbooks offer more than just an opportunity to practice techniques and get down ideas; they provide a way to follow through on your art projects. Using your creative engine to generate imagery first starts with drawing. This class will focus on both inspiration and drawing. As they spot imaginative opportunities and visualize them, students will be instructed in drawing techniques and alternative media and receive weekly prompts. A variety of reference materials will be provided, along with a review of artists and art movements—all to kickstart your inspired self-expression. Learn how to begin a drawing and develop a finished piece. Fill your sketchbook with ideas and walk away with the ability to further your creative journey.
