On loan from the collection of Raven Fine Art Editions and curated by scholar and master printmaker Dr. Curlee Raven Holton, this exhibition follows the pathways created by African American artists to distinguished artistic careers and explores their innovative uses of printmaking as a primary artistic medium, a means of collaboration and mutual support, and a democratic means of circulating their art.
An exhibition-related studio workshop. Discover the captivating world of monotypes and lino printing in our immersive workshop. These creative techniques offer a unique opportunity to produce spontaneous and distinctive prints, ranging from bold and colorful artworks to delicately detailed drawings. Throughout the workshop, we will explore the interplay of color, line, texture, and tone, discovering how these elements translate through various printing methods.
