Join members of the Mystic Museum of Art community for a tribute to Katherine Tod Johnstone (KTJ).

On June 21, 2019, from 5:30 – 7:30 in the KTJ Studios, members of the Johnstone family, KTJ’s friends, MMoA Board members,  staff, and museum members will raise a glass in honor of the 20 year anniversary of the completion of the KTJ Studios.

Katherine Tod Johnstone was a local artist and sculptor who passed away in 1999. One of her lasting gifts to the art community was supporting Mystic Museum of Art with a gift enabling MMoA to build two studios, a Library, and a space that is now the archival storage area.

To further the celebration of KTJ’s contributions to allow community access to art, there will be a student showcase of artwork done by MMoA faculty and art students of all ages and abilities.  This free event is open to the public and will be a celebration of KTJ and her contributions to both the Mystic Museum of Art and the community.

Light refreshments will be available for all of those who attend.
