Artist Instructor: Jerelyn Abicca -Smestad

Block prints are like homemade stamps. Designs can be carved on materials like wood, linoleum or foam, and printed on to any type of paper. Throughout history printers have used layered colors and special tools to carve beautiful, intricate designs. During this class, children will learn about the different block printing processes, carve out designs in wood, linoleum, and foam blocks and experiment with producing prints on a variety of paper.
