Learn new techniques and skills each week in this five-week series of workshops. Explore proportions, composition, texture, pattern, and depth.
Week 1 – Paper Bag Portraits: Explore proportions and shapes of facial features through an upcycled 3D project.
Week 2 – Above and Below: Explore composition by drawing and painting root vegetables.
Week 3 – Collaging Pattern and Texture: Put a composition together using a variety of materials to create a visually attractive artwork.
Week 4 – Drawing by Touch: Replace visual perception with tactile feedback. Draw a hidden object using only sense of touch.
Week 5 – Tin Tin Worlds: Explore depth of field by creating art that focuses on foreground and background.
