Mystic Museum of Art kicks off its Centennial year doing what it does best: exhibiting singular art works by local artists.
On Friday January 11, MMoA will hold a special opening reception and birthday celebration from 5:30 – 7:30pm to kick off a year of centennial celebrations and honor the birthday of our founder Charles H. Davis. Guests will be treated to slices of birthday cake while viewing art from MMoA’s Member & Elected Artists.
The Members Exhibition on view in the Charles Davis Gallery will include works from MMoA’s member artists. The Elected Artists Exhibition will be displayed in the Liebig Gallery; Elected Artists are members who have been accepted into four juried exhibitions within a two year period at MMoA. All media will be included in both shows. Members Exhibitions run January 11 – February 9.
The opening is part of MMoA’s annual “Kindred Spirits” Reception with Courtyard Gallery located across the street at 12 Water Street in Mystic, CT. Guests are encouraged to attend a reception at Courtyard Gallery during the evening to view even more local artist works.
