Volunteers Spruce Up Mystic Arts Center

Over the last couple weeks, Mystic Museum of Art has been very fortunate to have some enthusiastic and gracious volunteers help us with a bit of spring clean-up here at Mystic Museum of Art. MMoA staff would like to take a moment to acknowledge the help we’ve received from these wonderful members of the community.
Two groups of volunteers from the Naval Submarine Base in Groton came to Mystic Museum of Art galleries to freshen up the wainscoting and trim in each gallery.

The Sub Base volunteers come from all over the country, and participate in community service projects throughout the year as part of their appointment with the United States Navy.

Mystic Museum of Art’s Event Coordinator, Gretchen Higgins described the volunteer crews as “an incredibly cheerful, joyful group of people, and very hard working.”
On Saturday, April 13, volunteers from both Mystic Museum of Art and the Mystic Garden Club helped us prune, rake and clean the flower beds outside our historic art galleries.
