SIX-X-SIX RULES AND REGULATIONS

MMoA Elected Artist members have an opportunity to sell their artwork in the MMoA Museum Store in the Six-x-Six series of artist spotlights. Six-x-Six is comprised of six-week time slots, each beginning on a Monday. Artists will have six linear feet of wall space, to be filled however the artist may choose. Artists will be responsible for hanging their own artwork and must arrange to do so on the date identified in their assigned time slot. Artwork may be for sale, or for display only. Artwork listed for sale may be purchased directly off the wall and replaced by the artist throughout the duration of their assigned six-week timeslot. MMoA will retain a 30% commission on any artwork sold.

SCHEDULE AND FORMAT:  Four time slots will be offered in 2024, each lasting six weeks based on MMoA’s 2024 exhibition schedule. The weeks during which the Museum is closed to the public for exhibition installation will not count towards the Six-x-Six time slot. Up to three artists will show in each time slot, so that a total of 12 artists will be featured in a year.

Six-x-Six time slots in 2024 will be:

1. March 11 to May 5
2. May 6 to July 14
3. July 15 to August 25
4. August 26 to October 13

SELECTION PROCESS:  An online lottery system will ensure fairness in the randomized selection of artists for each Six-x-Six time slot. Artists who won the lottery in 2023 will not be eligible in 2024, but may reapply in 2025. If an artist is selected but is unable to exhibit, he or she may decline the opportunity and reapply in subsequent lotteries and an auxiliary drawing will be held to fill the open slot.
