Don Woodford is an artist and educator. Having received an MFA degree from The University of Wisconsin in painting in 1965, he began a career of teaching in university level art departments. After a few years at Cornell College and Reed College, he moved to California in 1972 to lead the painting program at Cal State University, San Bernardino, where he served for over thirty years. Throughout his academic career he continued to pursue his artistic practice. His paintings and constructions have been shown in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Europe: most notably at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, The Chicago Art Institute, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and at International Art Fairs in Basel, Switzerland and Cologne, Germany.
