This exhibition of permanent collection works charts the development of modern and contemporary art through the American tradition of landscape painting. Tonalist landscapes are contrasted with abstracted scenes to highlight the different artistic styles that developed during the 20th Century. These developments are further underscored by the traditional subject matter.
