The Mystic Museum of Art (MMoA) offers specially designed homeschool classes for children ages 5 – 12. Taught by MMoA’s artist educators, these programs are a combination of discussion and hands-on art making in our galleries and studios. All programs focus on a variety of art techniques, elements of art and design, art vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.

Homeschool programs are usually seven-week sessions that run for 2.5 hours on Monday mornings from 9:30am to 12pm. MMoA’s homeschool program offers a variety of courses throughout the year.

In this class, children will learn to compose still life paintings, from set up, lighting, and positioning within the canvas, to drawing and finally using acrylic paint to complete the artwork.
